CRICKET OSCAR
Congratulations to Julie Pearson who has won a Yorkshire OSCAs (Outstanding Service to Cricket Award).
Julie was nominated by BCC for her volunteer work with Blackley CC and the Calderdale Cricket Development Group.
Julie received her award last Thursday at a prize presentation evening at Headingley, home of Yorkshire CC.
2009 CLUB REFURBISHMENT - Officially Re-Opened Saturday 28th March
A newly refurbished Clubhouse opened its doors to members and guests on Saturday 28th march 2009. The official opening was carried out by ex professional referee and current Barnsley Cc Chairman Trelford Mills. Other guests included Elizabeth Jackson from Waverley - The Beer Seller, Tony Bowry - Yorkshire CDO and Steve Archer - Yorkshire CDO.
Redhouse Construction were the main contractors for the refurbishment and did a splendid job.

Through Dr Peter Davies of the Cricket Heritage team at Huddersfield University, Blackley have been paired together with student Sam Smith.
